Yellow fever is caused by the yellow fever virus and is transmitted mainly by infected Aedes and Haemagogus mosquitoes.
It may initially look like a simple fever, headache, muscle pain, nausea, and weakness. But severe cases can cause jaundice, bleeding, organ failure, and can be fatal.
