Cholesterol is like oil in your engine your body needs some of it to function, but too much can clog the system.
It’s a fatty, wax-like substance made in your liver and also found in certain foods.
Cholesterol travels in your blood attached to proteins, and this combo is called a lipoprotein.
There are two main types:
• LDL (bad cholesterol): Can stick to your arteries and cause blockage.
• HDL (good cholesterol): Helps carry excess cholesterol back to the liver to be flushed out.
So the goal is not “zero cholesterol” ❌ but the right balance ✅.
